A Shower For Sarah

My mom and sisters and I have a traditional “Aunts Shower” for all of our nieces whenever they are getting married or having a baby.  Last Sunday I hosted the baby shower at my home for our niece, Sarah.

I went with a bird theme.  Here is the invite that I designed…

My sisters brought all of the food, and my mom brought lots of great game and door prizes.  Here are my wonderful helpers…sisters Polly, Lori, and Mary, and my mother, Audrey…

I made these paper birdies for each guest to write a little note to Sarah.

Then they hung them on the tree.  After opening her gifts, Sarah read each one to us, then took them home for a keepsake.  My daughter, Mary made the cute crocheted fat birdie (she sells them in her Etsy Shop).

One of the games that we play at all of the baby showers is “The Baby Drop” game.  You simply drop little plastic babies into a jar.  The winner is the one who gets the most in.  It’s a silly game that we’ve played for many years, and continues to bring lots of laughter!

We also played the game of tasting and identifying different baby foods.  After tasting some of them, we wonder how we can feed them to our babies!

It was such a fun day!  Wishing Sarah, Scott, and their little baby girl (who is coming in June) much love and many blessings!
